Effective 28 February 2011, Airlink will increase the number of flights operating daily between Johannesburg and Phalaborwa to three flights per day Monday to Thursday. This compliments the current schedule offering two flights per day on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays.
The new early morning flight departs Johannesburg at 06:25 arriving Phalaborwa at 07:35 with the return flight departing Phalaborwa 08:00 arriving in Johannesburg at 09:20 . All flights are operated on the 29 seat Jetstream 41.
The morning flight will provide business travelers with the convenience of a same day return service as well as connecting with SAA’s African Network, other South African destinations as well as other international flights and carriers.
The additional capacity provided by the early morning flight will allow more leisure travelers to use Airlink’s mid morning 10:40 departure out of Johannesburg to Phalaborwa, the gateway to the northern camps of the Kruger Park as well as the well known Hans Merensky Golf Resort and other lodges in the area.
Travelers on Airlink will also enjoy the opportunity to earn Voyager Miles and take advantage of seamless interline connections with SAA and its partner flights around the world.
